Cookie Policy

Last Updated: March 19, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Fera Holding B.V. ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on derlavo.site (the "Website"). This policy supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more broadly.

Our Website is an educational platform focused on studio video shooting and directing for interview and conversation-based formats. Cookies help the Website operate reliably, understand how learners use pages, and (if you choose) measure the performance of advertising that brings visitors to the Website. We do not use cookies to provide production services or any equipment rental; the site content is educational only.

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time by selecting “Manage cookie preferences” in the footer, which re-opens the cookie notice and allows you to accept all, reject non-essential cookies, or choose categories.

1) What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit a website. Cookies can be "session" cookies (which expire when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (which remain until they expire or you delete them).

In addition to cookies, websites sometimes use pixel tags (also called web beacons) and similar scripts. Pixel tags are small snippets that can record that a page was viewed or that an action occurred (for example, a form submission). Where pixels or tags are used for analytics or marketing, we treat them as part of the same consent categories described below.

Some technologies are first-party (set by our Website domain) and others are third-party (set by service providers such as analytics or advertising partners). In both cases, we aim to keep the categories and purpose clear so you can make a meaningful choice.

2) Cookie lifespans and origins

Session cookies last only for the duration of your browser session and are removed when you close your browser.

Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them via browser settings.

First-party cookies are set by our Website (derlavo.site).

Third-party cookies are set by service providers whose tools may be embedded on our Website (for example, analytics or advertising measurement).

3) Cookie categories we use

We group cookies and similar technologies into three categories. Essential cookies are always active because the Website cannot function properly without them. Analytics and Marketing cookies are optional and are only activated after you provide consent.

A) Essential cookies (always active)

These cookies are required for core site functionality and security. They help with basic operations like keeping a browsing session stable, remembering your cookie preference choice, and preventing abuse. Because they are necessary for the Website to work, they cannot be switched off via the preference panel.

  • Remembering that you have made a cookie preference choice.
  • Maintaining session continuity so the Website behaves predictably while you browse.
  • Supporting basic security and reliability measures.

B) Analytics cookies (optional)

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the Website: which pages are visited, how long pages are viewed, and which navigation paths are most common. This information is used to improve lesson discovery, clarify course descriptions, and reduce friction in finding educational material.

If enabled, we may use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) in a configuration intended to reduce identifiability, such as IP anonymization where applicable. Analytics data is typically retained for 14 months in the analytics platform settings.

  • Measuring page usage and navigation patterns.
  • Detecting broken pages or confusing flow in course information.
  • Understanding which educational topics attract interest (for example: multi-camera coverage vs lighting baselines).

C) Marketing cookies (optional)

Marketing cookies are used to measure the performance of ads and to show relevant information about courses to people who have previously visited the Website. This can include remarketing (showing ads to previous visitors) and conversion measurement (understanding whether an ad led to a contact form submission).

If enabled, we may use marketing tools from providers such as Google Ads and Meta Platforms. These tools may set cookies or use similar identifiers to measure and attribute actions.

  • Measuring ad performance and conversion attribution.
  • Reducing irrelevant ad impressions by learning which pages were viewed.
  • Building aggregated audiences (for example, visitors who viewed the Courses page).

We do not allow these providers to use Website data for their own independent commercial purposes outside of providing services to us, and we do not sell personal data.

4) Cookie table

The table below lists cookies commonly associated with the categories above. Some third-party cookies may be present only if you consent to the relevant category and the related tools are active.

Name Purpose Category Type Retention
_site_session Site session continuity Essential First-party Session
cookie_consent Stores your consent choice Essential First-party 12 months
_ga GA4 user identifier Analytics Third-party 2 years
_ga_XXXXXXXXXX GA4 session state (10-char GA4 ID) Analytics Third-party 2 years
_gcl_au Google Ads conversion linker Marketing Third-party 90 days
_fbp Meta Pixel browser identifier Marketing Third-party 90 days
_fbc Meta Pixel click identifier Marketing Third-party 90 days

Note: cookie names and retention can vary by provider configuration and product changes. Where third-party tools are used, their cookies are present only after you consent to the relevant category in our cookie preferences interface.

5) Managing your cookie preferences

You can manage cookies in three practical ways:

  • Use our cookie controls: select “Manage cookie preferences” in the footer to accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or enable specific categories.
  • Use browser settings: most browsers let you delete cookies, block certain cookies, or set rules per site. Blocking all cookies may reduce functionality.
  • Use provider controls: you can also manage ad preferences and analytics opt-outs directly with providers (links below).

Provider opt-out resources (external): Google Analytics opt-out, Google Ads settings, Meta ad preferences, Your Online Choices (EU).

If you withdraw consent, we stop activating the relevant category on future page loads. Withdrawal does not affect any processing that occurred before you changed your preferences.

6) Third-party services that may set cookies

Depending on your preferences, the following providers may set cookies or use similar identifiers:

  • Google LLC (Google Analytics 4, Google Ads measurement and remarketing)
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. (advertising measurement and remarketing)
  • Cloudflare (content delivery and security features that can involve request-level identifiers)

We do not permit these providers to use our Website data for their own independent commercial purposes. They process data as service providers to help us operate and measure the Website and its educational content.
